CEO of the oilfield services company – about the cooperation strategy with partners outside Russia.
– TAGRAS is a technology leader in the oil and gas services market in the Russian Federation. What about your business outside of Russia?
– TAGRAS is a diversified Holding that incorporates enterprises with a half-century history in the oil and gas field service market. We systematically enhance the capabilities of our production potential, increasing the use of advanced high-tech equipment, digital solutions and innovative technologies.
Now TAGRAS provides more than 1 350 types of products and services for more than 1 500 customers in 35 regions of the Russian Federation, in 7 countries globally. And of course we are very interested in cooperation with partners from OIC and BRICS countries.
Implementing the partnership strategy, TAGRAS created a department for foreign economic activity last year. There were several important and meaningful interactions that continue today.
– What countries are we talking about?
– Well, for example, the United Arab Emirates. In October 2023, representatives of the Holding visited the UAE and reached agreements with Al Ghaith. The Memorandum of association of a Joint venture was signed. Establishing of the joint venture is under the process and the Holding’s divisions in parallel are working to pass qualification procedures. Preparation for trail jobs (supply of drilling bits) are underway.
During a business trip to the UAE our delegation visited production facilities, ran technical sessions to study the local market and challenges. While visiting production facilities service, storage areas and laboratories were observed, drilling and associated equipment and tools were studied. This helped us to dive deeper in the specifics and to make a plan, how to meet the technical requirements.
One more example – the Republic of Azerbaijan.
– Do you mean cooperation with SOCAR?
– Actually, we closely cooperate with SOCAR company in the field of eliminating complication areas using unique equipment. Colleagues from Azerbaijan have already visited our production facilities. We clearly showed the manufacturing processes and options of using the equipment. After a trial well is selected we plan to carry out work on the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
– You also mentioned BRICS. Are there any results of cooperation with partners from BRICS countries?
– I’d like to note the Indian market. TAGRAS has successful experience of interaction in the field of provision of seismic exploration and interpretation services, supply of oilfield equipment (heating cable).
Kazan will host the BRICS summit in October, 2024. This is a great opportunity for TAGRAS to establish new partnerships – we are interested in cooperation.
